Calibrate your monitor so that you can see all the shades below. Begin by doing a full reset of your monitor, if there is one, or recalling the default settings. Set your colour temperature to 6500K and then adjust your brightness and then contrast, so that all the shades of grey are just viewable below. If you have the option, set your gamma to 2.2. Depending on the quality of your monitor, you may not be able to see the very extreme black/grey changes or grey/white changes.
