Capturing device used
  Canon 300D 6MP digital SLR
Technical details
ISO100, 1/60 sec, single shot exposures, 1st image prime focus, 2nd image with Williams Optics 2inch diagonal, low profile 2inch to 1.25inch adapter and Meade 2x barlow. Images processed in Registax and Paint Shop Pro

These are 2 single shot images of sunspot 808. I did not connect the motors so had to manually track the Sun. This also meant that the stacking software could not stack the multiple images I took as the images shifted about too much. I manually selected the best frame out of around 20 frames. I also found out that I needed the diagonal in place to be able to focus when using the 2x barlow.

The granulation is most apparent and appears as a very grainy looking image (it's granulation). I was very pleased as to how these photos turned out and I should be able to get something close to this quality for the up and coming partial solar eclipse.
