As Orion rises in the early morning, it reminds us that autumn is approaching and the long dark nights. Let's hope for favourable weather this season for some good deep sky observing.

Below is a photo of the constellation of Orion with the red gaint star, Betelgeuse a very distinctive orange. Procyon and Sirius are to the left of Orion with Sirius a very bright Mag-1.5.
