EAAS COVERAGE OF TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE MOON 16th MAY 2003

Total Eclipse of the Moon 16th May 2003!

Did the weather put pay to viewing the total lunar eclipse at 3am on Friday 16 May?

Perhaps the early birds will tell us later. What we should have been able to catch is  the Moon moving completely into the Earth's shadow at 4.15am with the maximum eclipse at 4.40am. Perhaps our readers could e-mail us with any details of what was seen if anything!, Chairman:  Meanwhile here is a picture of the event courtesy of Carlos Reis and Joao Clerigo at the Copernicus Public Observatory in Garcia, Portugal.
